THE DISCOVERY OF THE MULTICOLORED TERRACOTTA ARMY BY WILLIAM WEEK 19

David, Dara and I were on the beach digging when we spotted a huge crate full of Terracotta soldiers. We were astonished when we saw them and we spotted a boy. He was sleeping. Then he woke up. He was afraid of us. I asked for his name. It was Dominic. He had been there for  quite some time. It had been since 2nd of October 1835. When the war began he was put here by his family. Then he pressed a lever and  said, “Let’s go out side to play chess.” That’s why there are giant pieces of Terracotta statues ……………

    I really enjoyed your story! How imaginative to include the sleeping boy, Dominic, and to explain the statues through his experience. It would have been very scary for Dominic to wake up near two centuries later and see three children looking at him.
