Week 9 Ghostly Survivers By Shane F

Thursday 25th of April 1943: it was the peak of World War Two . London was being bombed severely . Mr and Mrs Harper lived in George’s Street . They were very patriotic. Mr Harper served in WW1 . Now he was too old to fight . It was a normal night but suddenly the claxons sounded .

The two rushed out into the street going to the nearest air raid bunker . Boom boom they kept running and running through the streets of London . The lights were shutting off, they didn’t see anything. BOOM! A bomb landed next to them, killing the two instantly . Now people claim to see their ghosts floating around the WW2 memorial in London.

  1. Well done Shane on writing one of the most unique stories I’ve read this week.
I love how you’ve written a historical fiction piece on WW2.
    Super work!

  2. Hi Shane
Thank you for sharing your writing with us. I really liked that you set your story back in WW2. It made it more compelling as I thought of these two people trying to find cover during such a scary time. What made you set it at that time? Have you read books like this? I remember as a child reading Commando comics that my brothers collected. I felt I could picture this scene so easily. (Although for some reason it would be in black and white)!
    Keep up the great work.
